Phil 230 3/30/2016 For this paper I will be talking about Sandel and his views and beliefs as well as discussing my own opinions of his views and beliefs. I will first start off by describing who Sandel is. Sandle is associated with republican and communitarian political philosophy, but he was also grounded in Aristotle. He was also a believer in classical republicanism which actually has little to do with the Republican Party we have today. Classical republicanism is concerned with place of community and politics in good life in addition to being concerned with power of domination. Sandel is also not a big fan of free markets since he argues that free markets can corrupt goods and coerce individuals. Sandels says that the markets are not neutral, they promote narrow self-interest, they promote individual over community, and that markets also do a great deal of good in the production and distribution of genuine commodities and some other goods and services. He was also a believer of liberalism and talked the liberalism’s false neutrality. An
