Surname 1 Name: Lecturer: Course: Date: Trauma Management The article was aimed at determining if there was any association between the number of out-of-hospital time and the mortality resulting from trauma. The research employed a retrospective review design on the medical records of the patients who had been brought to the hospital by helicopter or ambulance. The research used data related to final results, the process of out-of-hospital medication and the hospital treatment process (Lerner et al. 951). The findings of the research revealed that there was no relationship between the increased amount of out-of-hospital time and the increase in the mortality of trauma patients. The method used to collect data was not efficient because the time recorded in the reports was not necessarily accurate. The dispatch time by centers involved was not put into consideration, which would be a great source of a significant error.
