Taryn Neals GSC 355 Professor Haksever March 5, 2018 Aligning Supply Chain Strategies with Product Uncertainties The Internet has opened doors to enhance the supply chain processes. The Internet allows constant data stream and information flow as well as real time connectivity. Customers are given a more straightforward response through the new supply chain structures. At the point when an organization moves into new market or creates new innovations, a supply chain must be arranged to handle the difficulties to come. The methodology should be customized to address the issues of the clients. An unpredictable demand and supply should be managed in a different way than a stable demand and supply would. The Internet can serve as a tremendous guide in supporting these strategies. Each supply chain strategy is unique to the business and item. The uncertainty framework determines the two key vulnerabilities identified by the product’s supply and demand. Functional items have long product life cycles, less product variability, lower profit margins and stable demand. Innovative products have short life cycles, more product variability, higher profit margins and unstable demands. Different supply chain strategies must be one-of-a-kind for each.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
