Phil 230 February 9, 2016 The topic that I will be talking will be Kant and his beliefs toward morality and respect. Some may wonder what is absolutely and unqualifiedly good in this world of ours and Kant actually has an answer in response to that question. For Kant the only thing that is absolutely and unqualifiedly good is a good will. Kant believes that only a good will can be unconditionally good and that a good will involves attempting to do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. There are two proposition of this morality, the first one is for an action to have genuine worth it must be done from duly well the second one states an action this done from duty does not get its moral value from the purpose that is to be achieved through it but from the maxim that it involves, giving the reason why the person acts thus. For those who is wondering what in the world is this maxim thing you spoke the maxim is the principle of practical reason which has three parts to it which are the act, circumstances, and the end/purpose.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
