PI and children’s success Higher grades and test scores, better attendance , fewer Special Ed placements, higher graduation rates , greater enrollment and completion of postsecondary ed (Bennett, 2004) School morale , teacher morale , teacher satisfaction , and school reputation improvement in districts w/ high PI in ed (CCSSO, 2006) Proportional increase of student achievement to amount and duration of family involvement in school: extensive participation of low-income parents results in rise of children’s test scores to level of middle-class kids, and also rise of teacher expectations (Bennett, 2004)
