Act as constraints on interaction Ways of acting that worked out in the past come to constraint present interaction (predictable) Structure and pattern formed constraint prevent them from ACE - BOMBER ( Identity Types) generated in classroom , carry out their own momentum in terms of structure Aces - more free to move about Bomber - shame and stigma - marginality Mass Media - People with positive avatars ( attractive) were found to be more confident and friendlier toward others Ace - Ace interaction vs Bomber - Bomber Interaction with Status Equals are more open and spontaneous. Compared to Ace - Bomber there are structural constraints
