Executive Summary This business plan is for a new indoor children’s playground facility, the Fun Factory, with possibly a drop- off daycare component. The Fun Factory would be located in the West end of Sudbury, likely on Webbwood Dr., and would include numerous activities that would make it impossible for children to play them all on their first visit. The company is directed by Marion Johnson, a highly educated and experienced mother with a strong commitment to children’s happiness and health. The Fun Factory would require a loan of approximately $355,288 and comprise a personal portion of $60,000 from Johnson.

Situational Analysis About the Owner Marion Johnson is a mother of two kids. During her time as a mother, Marion has grown a passion in ensuring and encourage kids everywhere to fully embrace their childhood as much as possible. She graduated with a degree in early childhood education from the University of Guelph in 2006. While she graduated, Marion was employed and gained experience at two different daycares; All Nations Day Care and Walden Day Care Centre. She then later opened a daycare of her own and got it licensed with the help of the Carrousel Home Daycare at Cambrian College. In doing so, Marion got her first real taste on how to run a business and acquired valuable skills. Marion has retail experience that could aid her in her business that she gained before her first child was born at children clothing store. That experience taught her about customer satisfaction issues, inventory control and daily financial activities; like sales transaction and preparing bank deposits. The new entrepreneur became great at planning different educational programs for children in their specific stage of childhood. She chooses the best activities, toys and gadgets that are age appropriate for the kids. With this, she was able to plan themed activities to help children learn about specific activities like supervised field trips and daily exercise programs. This experience allowed Marion to learn how to maintain proper food handling and sanitizing techniques. Her hard work has paid off because she always receives high scored reports from health inspectors.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
