POOR HEALTH 2 Poor Health in a Population A group with high risk is defined a population where there are clear signs of unhealthy behavior that poses a health hazard to the people. Such behaviors include lifestyles such as smoking. The population at risk often engages in unhealthy behaviors willingly while knowing the consequences. Often, a population at risk has enough resources and are well informed on how they can fight the illness that come as a result of their actions. For example, a tobacco smoker fully understands that he or she can contract lung cancer; however, they continue smoking, putting their health at risk. On the other hand, a vulnerable group is part of the population in which people are more likely to get health complications as a result of risk. The group has no health information or economic might to receive care on time. As such, they are prone to poor health outcomes and
