This includes developing an understanding of the following concepts: Students are responsible to learn all of the lecture material including but not limited to the following: 1. Name the five diet planning guides Dietary Guidelines foe Americans, ChooseMyPlate.gov, Exchange lists, Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI’s), Food Labels. and identify the food group plans . 5 major food groups, sorts food by their vitamin and mineral content. Grains, Vegetables, Fruits, Dairy, Protein. 2. The Exchange List for Meal Planning groups foods according to the amount of _ energy nutrient content that they contain.
