BA 2410 – Module Four Homework Chapter 9 1. Why is evaluating training an important part of strategic training? From what I have read in this chapter it seems like (to me at least) that they evaluate training for a few reasons. They do it to see competencies of the company, grounds, or individuals. They do this to ensure the effectiveness of the training programs and to see if there are some that need further training. If the training program is ineffective they can look into other ways to get the training materials a crossed. They also do analysis on the training to see what training is needed. By analyzing the training, we can diagnose the organizational out come and get a good look at future organizational needs. 2. What learning principles would you consider when designing a training program? I think the principles that need to be taken in accounted for when designing is: readiness, exercise, effect, primacy, recency, intensity, freedom, and requirement. These are all learning principles that have been tested and shown a direct link to these items and the effectiveness and ability to learn. Also, another thing to keep in mind is that people tend to retain more when they use one or more motor skills. So, while training to use sound, sight, touch, and taste. Will ensure that they lesson or training is encoded in the brain in a away that will make it more easily accessible.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
