Aurora Validity Validity describes the extent to which an assessment measures an intended aspect (Stucky, Kirkwood and Donders, 2014); in this study the Aurora Battery is expected to measure for the construct of giftedness. 4.5.1 Convergent Validity using Mill Hill and Ravens The Ravens (2008) and Mill Hill (2003) are validated tests measuring analytical abilities and were thus used to find convergent validity for the Aurora analytical subtests. Spearman’s rho coefficient showed strong evidence of convergent validity between Aurora Floating Boats and Ravens standardized data ( r s (132) =.919, p < .001). Both tests only use images to measure for analytical ability. Strong convergent validity was also found by correlating Metaphors and Mill Hill ( r s (132) = .797, p < .001). These two tests purposefully use only words and rely on verbal skills to measure for analytical ability. 4.6 Correlation between Aurora abilities and domains Although the focus of the Aurora Battery was on measuring three abilities – creative,

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
