Part I: What is a worldview? “What, then, is a worldview? Essentially this: A worldview is a set of presuppositions (assumptions which may be true, partially true, or entirely false) which we hold (consciously or subconsciously, consistently or inconsistently) about the basic makeup of our world.” [Sir09] “A worldview or ‘world and life view,’ as some people call it- is the structure of understanding that we use to make sense of our world.” [Ryk131] “Worldviews are inherently religious. Because our worldview is at the core of who we are, it always reveals our fundamental convictions, including what we believe (or don’t believe) about God.” This statement is important since “worldviews” establish for each person an understanding of the absence or presence of divine intervention in the course of natural history Word Count 130 Part II: The Question of Origin Answering the question of the origin of life and therefore of humankind, for a person with a Christian worldview, is easy. The book of Genesis of the Holy Bible offers a detailed description of the creation of the universe (Genesis 1:1-5), the world (Genesis 1: 6-9), life (Genesis 1: 11-25), and man (Genesis 1:26-27).

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
