Quanesha Winn 11/8/2017 HIUS 222-D07 LUO American National Biography Online Who is a significant person in US History? I will have to say Adolf Hitler. He is important because he was the leader of Nazi Germany and he started Second World War. He also had millions of Jews executed, which had a big impact in history. Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, Australia on April 20,1889. Hitler was the fourth of six children, born to Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl. Hitler was only three years old when his family moved to Passau. Hitler father didn’t approve his career as an artist. Soon as his youngest brother died in 1900, Hitler showed interest in German nationalism. In 1903, Hitler's father died and two years later, his mother let him drop out of school. In December of 1907, Hitler moved to Vienna and worked as a casual labor when his mom died. Round this time, he was lacking money and was staying in homeless shelters. In 1913, Hitler moved to Munich at the outbreak of World War 1. He applied to serve in the Germany war and was accepted in 1914 of August. He got wounded in the Somme and was
