Chpt 8. Kanban card Deploying the Kanban system leads to pulling work through the system instead of pushing work. The Kanban system controls the work in process inventory. There can never be more inventory between two resources than what has been authorized by the Kanban cards. The upstream resource can only produce when it has an empty container, so production stops when all of the containers are full, thereby limiting the inventory to the number of containers. The bigger the containers, the fewer Kanban cards are needed. Processed in high volume and limited variety, required with a short lead time Make-to-order: low volume & high variety, for expensive or difficult to store.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
