Fayth Stephenson SAM Summary Professor Meirowitz 26 February 2018 Serving America Movement: Reclaiming Our Voice On the evening of February 22nd, the Join SAM event was held at Pier 79 of Chelsea Piers. The venue was full of a menagerie of people ranging from 19 years old to nearly 80 years old. We were all gathered for a common purpose: to reclaim our voice within a new political party. This movement is based out of Colorado in order to better hear the voices from those of middle America, who feel ignored from our standard political parties. The vast majority of attendees were conservatives who felt as though their party is being misrepresented by the only option for the Republican party, in addition to their voices being ignored. These people are joining SAM for a call to action, for this country to go back to its grassroots.
