FOOD SAFETY SCENARIO THREE 2 Food Safety Scenario Three Per scenario 3, Sally was making dinner for her and her family. There were several food safety mistakes that Sally made and that contributed to her family developing Salmonella Poisoning. The scenario states that the symptoms were nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, and fever that developed several hours later. Salmonella has those same symptoms and often develops six to 72 hours later (Grosvenor & Smolin, 2015). The textbook states that Salmonella can be killed by heat (Grosvenor & Smolin, 2015). The vegetables that came into possible contact with the raw chicken should have had the Salmonella killed unless the shish kabobs were not cooked completely. Salmonella could have been prevented multiple times during Sally’s preparation.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
