Critique Observation Organizer Title of film: Review #1 1. Critic: Roger Ebert 2. Title of Critique: Great movie 3. Provide a basic outline of the critic’s article. It explains how a masterful movie was made with a small budget. 4. Summarize his or her evaluation of the film in one sentence. Not good… but great. 5. Choose specific language from the review that helps you understand the film critic's attitude. Explain how those quotations create the author's tone you hear as you read the critique. “Yet no other Hitchcock film had greater impact”. It made it sound like he was coming from a perspective of admiration. Review #2 1. Critic: Matt Fagerholm 2. Title of Critique: Hot Docs Interview 2017: Alexandre O. Philippe on “78/52” 3. Provide a basic outline of the critic’s article. I was a work made to be known by everyone because of its greatness. 4. Summarize his or her evaluation of the film in one sentence.
