He was a hardworking man and did his best to gain money for his business. Montresor also had a lover whose beauty was incomparable. She was just a humble merchant who meet Montresor on a trip a decided to do business with him. Soon after the two became lovers and were always with one another. Montresor would spend most of his time trying to get deals and sell wine to consumers who would come for any interesting beverage he had. While at work, his lover would either work at a different shop or stay home working on the financial problems of the business. One day Montresor heard that many wine connoisseurs would be coming to the area. At this piece of information, he decided to hold a tasting for those prestigious guests.
