What does it mean that Autism is a “spectrum” of disorders? That children are affected differently yet it’s the same diagnosis. 2. How many children are diagnosed with autism? One in 88 children 3. What did Dr. Chung say occurred in the late 1980s that partially led to an increase in the prevalence of autism? With that increased awareness, more parents, more pediatricians, more educators learned to recognize the features of autism. As a result of that, more individuals were diagnosed and got access to the resources they needed. 4. Does Dr. Chung believe vaccines cause autism? Why not? No, the original research study that suggested that was the case was completely fraudulent. There is no credible evidence. 5. What is thimerosal? How does it relate to the increase in autism rates?

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
