I think one of first major decisions I made in my life was choosing to go to a college away from my hometown. The only time I had ever left my home was to go to summer camp for a week. Tucson was all I knew, but I knew it was time to spread my wings. GCU was the one college I immediately fell in love with and I decided to live on campus. When I moved on campus, it was emotional for me and my parents because I am the baby of the family and the first one to live away from home. Although thing didn't end up working out and Im living back home, it was a decision that helped shape who I am. The second major choice was with my job and choosing to work at Recovery homeless shelter on a side of town that isn't always the safest. Homelessness is an area of ministry I knew nothing about and honestly working with women in recovery isn't easy at all. There were times when I first got hired where I kept asking God why I was there, but as I began to build relationships with the women and when my
