Brunel dimeni Michael L. Sheridan English 102 10 May, 2015 Marijuana Do you think it’s a good idea to legalize marijuana, do you agree or disagree? If I had to choose I would agree, if we legalize marijuana crime will go down and it used as a medical treatment. It’s your choice of what you put in your body. We all have our own opinion. Generally, there is no problem with smoking it, it’s only a problem because the law tell us we can’t smoke it. As a society we always try find ways to “stop crime”, little do we know the solution is right in front us. The solution consists of legalization marijuana. Do you know if we legalizing marijuana we save an enormous amount of lives? Think about it, In the United States. Why do we have so many black men in jail today? This is because of drug and marijuana. In Today’s society we have teenagers selling weed as well as adults. The mischievous and reckless behavior starts at a young age. Then it may or may not continue as they get older. Some kids don’t have a father figure in their life to teach them from right and wrong, enforce order so they will do the right things and help them to become aware on how to make better decision. In some instances kids without fathers tend to do the wrong things an in result may cause them to end up in jail. For example, selling of marijuana. Let’s say you’re working two jobs and those two checks aren’t helping. What do you do to make sure your family stay stable? You need some quick money. In addition, the bills are all due in the couple days. When you are in a bind sometimes you run out of options and the only thing you can think about, is

Nine out ten times, they may get caught and know it’s a stupid decision. It worse because you have the money to pay your bill. Now if the father gets caught it create pattern in society, thus making “the system” itself create more crime. When a father goes to jail, his kids or kids may now grow up without a father figure. So in a sense this may cause a pattern to occur whereas though that child may follow in the same footsteps of their dad. The system could prevent this pattern if marijuana was legalized. Colorado alone sold about 2.85 million. The very first time marijuana was legalized in this state, as a result
