Profile of our company | 3 November 2015 History Vitastic Pty Ltd is a Melbourne based company that retails an extensive range of vitamins and health related products. The organisation has been operating for five (5) years and operates four (4) outlets in Victoria. Vitastic has a direct distribution strategy as they sell their products direct to the public. About 40% of their sales are to corporate clients like health and naturopath clinics. These sales are on credit with 30 days payment terms. All products are packaged externally but Vitastic operates an internal warehouse facility. Today In 2014 Vitastic had a sales turnover of $16 million with a bottom line before tax profit of 27.5%. Vitastic Pty Ltd has built the business quite rapidly, which is attributed to the entrepreneurial skills of the owner, and single director Grady Kavanagh. Grady has worked in the industry for over twenty years and has managed several large retail outlets as well as acting as CEO for the largest vitamin retailer in the country. Grady runs the business on simple principles and is fully committed to the following: that quality customer service is the backbone of continued sales growth. a ‘no advertising’ policy as he believes that word of mouth achieves the greatest results demands a gross profit of 50% on all sales doesn’t buy resources unless he can afford them insists that new stores trade profitably within six months of opening is passionate about not using middle men in his organisation insists that his business is seen to trade in an ethical and professional manner is committed to staff development and insists that this then allows all individual cost centres the ability to manage their own HR requirements.
