Colton Adams BISC 120 – EScience Marelby Mosquera 29 January 2018 Journal Analysis – Week 3 Summary Information The article is all about trying to find the origins of life. The current theory is that the basic components to life and the original cells were built near hydrothermal vents on the bottom of the ocean. The problem with this theory is that the amount of water is too great and would disperse the materials needed to create life before they could combine together. Many teams of scientists went out into the world to search for evidence for the hot springs theory they keyed up. They hypothesized that the land pool hot springs were more ideal for creating life. There were many experiments done and they found an area in Australia that used to be full of hot springs. This meant that there definitely could have been hot springs during the beginnings of Earth. There also have been experiments to see if something is created when the right amount of material are added to the pools. What was found was that a membrane is created and chemical reactions are
