Several studies have indicated that Dead Zone has been created through nitrate pollution. To resolve the problem there should be reduction of the nitrate level in the soil and more trees to be planted to hold the soil together. The Dead Zone problem mainly originates from gardens and lands. Therefore, if no changes are made to minimize the huge amount of nitrates that enters in the rivers the Dead Zone would be grow larger and larger. As a government panel examining the Dead Zone problem the following are the recommendations I would take to solve the Dead Zone issue. First, I would reduce the use of fertilizers that has nitrate, street run-off and lower the level of fossil fuel emitted. I would advise farmers to use organic fertilizers that are environmental friendly.
