The solutions having different concentration formed colored compounds with potassium dichromate. The intensity of the color of Cr +3 relate to the concentration of compound in the solution. Graph between absorbance and concentration help us in determining the concentration of unknown compound. Introduction: Principle: Determination of concentration by using colored reagents.it is based on lambert-beer law. Colorimetry: Concentration of colored compounds are determined by using technique named as colorimetry. Colorimeter measured absorbance at a specific wavelength to determine the concentration of a solution. The variation of the color of the system with change in concentration of some components forms the basis of what the chemist commonly called colorimetric analysis.
