IT 515 Module Seven 1 After approving the development of a new technological innovation, an organization must create a team to develop the product resulting from the innovation. This module focuses on the development process that the team follows, while the next module addresses the team dynamics. The new product development process consists of four phases: analysis, design, implementation, and testing. These four phases can be performed sequentially. In a sequential development process, the team starts by conducting a thorough analysis of the product in order to understand all the requirements of the product, such as the functional requirements and the performance requirements. Once a thorough requirements analysis is complete, the team then creates a complete design for the new product. Upon completing the design, the team implements the design; once the product is fully implemented, the team thoroughly tests the product to ensure that it meets all of its requirements.
