Ecosystem 2 Ecosystem Structure of Ecosystem The ecosystem to be selected for this assignment is a forest. The structural components of the forest ecosystem include plants, animals, soils, microbes and the atmosphere. The abiotic features that are persistent in the area are low sunlight and turbidity. Trees are the dominant species in the forest ecosystem. The trees species that are dominant in the forest chosen are cone- bearing trees such as opine and firs. On the other hand, dominant animal species include ants, weasel, barbet and the weasel. Processes of Ecosystem One of the processes in the forest ecosystem is the nutrient cycle. Trees will take up potassium, and calcium. This is done through their root system and takes them up to their leaves. When these leaves drop, they are decomposed by the bacteria in the soil. This way, the nutrients are liberated into the soil where they become free again to be taken up through the roots.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
