Discuss the top three tips for success from experts in the field that most resonate with you. How do you envision utilizing these tips in your current or future career? The three tips for success in caring for dementia patients that I found are: create a positive safe environment. Set a strict schedule for the patients. When things get tough; distract and redirect (Family Caregiver Alliance, n.d.). Wegerer (2017), talks about how important the environment is to patients. It plays the biggest role in keeping them safe and happy. Dealing with dementia patients can be tough and tiring mentally and physically. These tips for success resonate with me because I have seen them to be true. The patients are delicate and complex because one wrong word, noise, or action can dramatically change their behavior. If staff provide a safe and proper environment, set a strict schedule, and distract and redirect in bad times, patients can remain
