1 Kings 16:29-34 1 Kings 17 1 Kings 18 1 Kings 19 1 Kings 20 1 Kings 22 2 Kings 9 Ahab reigns over Israel. He did evil things in the sight of the Lord. He marries Jezebel and starts to worship Baal, a false god. He angers the Lord more than any of his predecessors The city of Jericho was built. Ahab loses his first born, Abiram, and his youngest son ,Segub. Elijah predicts a drought. Elijah takes refuge in the wilderness as the Lord instructs. A widow helps Elijah and allows him to live with her. She feeds him and gives him drinks. The jar of meal and the jug of oil are blessed by God to never run low and never fail. Her son dies and Elijah raises him from the dead. The Lord tells Elijah to go speak to Ahab. Obadiah is told by Elijah to go find Ahab and bring him to Elijah. He tells Ahab to gather all his prophets of Baal and meet him on Mount Carmel. Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal to see whose God is truly real and Lord over all.
