“Till Death Do us Part? Hank was working at Big Blue then moved to JoeCo as new Sales Manager. He asked for contract to make sure that he could work till his retirement in 5 years. Manager agreed and replied “Fine.” There is no written contract with Hank. You did send a letter to Hank after negotiations were complete. The letter contained an offer of employment that specified salary, location, vacation and benefits, and expressed: “It is our intent that this will be a long term position with it being understood that you will be evaluated on effort and performance. We understand that it will take 6 months to a year before a noticeable amount of work will be attribute to your efforts.” Believing that this letter confirmed the agreement that his status was not at-will employment and that employment would continue until his retirement. About 1 year later, found out one employee got terminated abruptly, so Hank approached you and said "You and I have an agreement that you can't just do this to me." He also says you responded
