Field Notes from November 12, 2016 Subject: Sunday Dinner at Granny’s & Pawpaw’s Interviewer: When do you have Sunday dinner at your house? Granny: Usually once a month or more if all the kids are in. Interviewer: Why do you have Sunday dinner at your house? Granny: It’s a family tradition. When I was young my mother cooked for Sunday dinner and everyone went to her house. When my mother passed I took over the tradition. Interviewer: Who comes to Sunday dinner and how do you decide on the menu? Granny: All my kids, grandkids. My brothers and sisters come when they can. I use what I have and fix their favorite dishes. Interviewer: Pawpaw do you help Granny cook for Sunday dinner. Pawpaw: Not if it’s cooked in the kitchen. I generally just cook anything that ’s done on the grill. Granny: I don’t want him in my kitchen, he gets in my way and he doesn’t do things the way I want them done. Interviewer: I understand you live on a fixed income, doesn’t cooking this meal for so many people cost you a lot of money that maybe you cannot afford?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
