2 ROBERT SMITH CASE STUDY Robert Smith is a 40-year-old male that has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. Robert has had quite a bit of incidents that have happened in his life that may have caused his PTSD. It started in his childhood when his father would physically and verbally abuse him at a young age. At the age of seven Roberts father committed suicide which could have been the beginning of his PTSD from the sudden death. He has spent time in the military and has recently just retired; this alone can be a great risk factor. Robert was once married but now is divorced. He has no children or family nearby and lives in a town away from social activities. Since his mother died a year ago from cancer, having no family around can lead to Robert feeling lonely and having the feeling of no purpose in life. With Robert living in a rural town he probably has no desire to get out and meet new people and engage in activities.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
