For yes/no questions, make sure to provide a short justification. 1. Briefly explain the difference between (batch) gradient descent and stochastic gradient descent. Give an example of when you might prefer one over the other. 2. Why do you use kernels to model a projection from attributes into a feature space, instead of simply projecting the dataset directly and using this as input into our learning algorithm?
