Friday September 16 2016 – Michael Desantis Muddiest Point Week 1 1. Chapter one builds the foundation of the subject through brief overview of basic concepts of benefits and costs, economic importance, and the components of tourism management. It gives insight on the different approaches one may take when indulging on the study of tourism itself. Which in turn, gave me more appreciation for the topic resulting in more dedication/motivation to apply myself to this course. Chapter three discusses careers/jobs one may aspire to obtain in the tourism field and what may apply to your interests/abilities to find a best fit for you within the field of tourism. Both chapters create a foundation for what is to come in the next chapters giving a brief understanding of the broad concept of tourism as well as its various career opportunities. 2. One thing I found particularly interesting was the correlation between Tourism and the Food Industry and how intertwined they really are. Many of the managers/supervisors in the
