The Bayeux tapestry was created to celebrate his victory. E. The 2 fortresses of Durham and the Tower of London from the east and west still exist today. F. The effect this conquest eventually had on the language of the British Island was that both languages of French and Norman existed and intermingled on the island. II. 2. A. The basic principles underlying Feudalism are that it is a warlord society, contains strong families with castles and armies, along with the rule that in order to have land, you must give service to a landlord. B. A nobleman is just a vassal.
