The Bar Fight The arguments brought forward by the two groups; Nohoria , Groysberg, and Lee, and McGeorge and Doshi, concerning employee motivation, were close to proximity. According to the former group, motivation in employees is archived through the fulfillment of four drives; bond , comprehend, defend and acquire which can be archived through the satisfaction of workers’ wants . A worker whose basic needs are satisfied will worry lees thus concentrate on their work. The latter group came up with tactical and adaptive performances . Adaptive performance stresses on the firm extending its strategy and being flexible to a dopt new strategies as opposed to tactical performance which stressed on the firm sticking to its initial strategy . Therefore , adaptive performance is preferred since employees are free , they thus they become more creative and innovative. There is no need for frequent supervision. It enhances collaboration among employees thus coinciding with Nohor and team’s argument since in both
