2 E-mail to Co-worker Hello Tara, I would first like to welcome you to our team; I look forward to working with you, we have a great team here! We anticipate you to fit right in and help us continue to grow. You have asked me what the difference between management and leadership specifically in our organization. Within this email, I will attempt to define management and leadership along with providing examples within our organization. Leadership and management are often thought as interchangeable duties, but this is not correct. However, a successful organization has people in a leadership role with a mixture of leadership and management skills. A manager uses actions to get people together in accomplishing desired goals and objectives by using the available resources efficiently and effectively (Leadership Central, 2016). A manager has several duties such as planning and controlling the budget and the day to day operation. A leader has the ability to adapt the setting that everyone feels empowered in contributing creatively in problem-solving (Smith, 2015). A leader has several traits such as the
