Clean Trucks Program helps improve Los Angeles' air quality The Clean Trucks Program, launched one year ago, has led to cleaner air in Los Angeles, authorities announced on Thursday. Under the program, the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, two of the busiest ports in the United States, have gotten rid of more than 2,000 diesel burning trucks and raised the number of "clean" trucks to 5,500. The move has reduced air pollution equivalent to the amount produced by 200,000 cars a year, the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) said. The program is on track to meet its goal of reducing truck- produced emissions in both ports by 80 percent in 2010, two years ahead of schedule. "Cleaning the air around the port has been one of my highest priorities, and I am pleased that the Clean Trucks Program has given that effort such a boost in its first year," Los Angeles' Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
