Behavioural Description Interview Questions 1. We all deal with situations in which how we manage ourselves under pressure could be challenged. Tell me about a time when you had trouble to achieve your monthly goals and how you were able to succeed. What did you do? - Probes: Why were you struggling to engage your customer? How did you analyze the situation? What was your final decision and what was the outcome? (Catano et al., 2016) - Scoring Guide: 1__ I did what I had to and achieved the target in time. 3__ I realized that my strategy to engage the customer was not appropriate to convince him/her to buy our company product. I change my approach and convinced him/her on time. 5__ I analyzed the reasons why my customer was doubting about buying the product. After reviewing my previous selling approach I realized he/she wasn’t aware of the product characteristics and benefits compare to others similar products, so, I re-invented the strategy to convince him/her, decided to travel and visit his offices to assure his/her understanding and help him/her with any doubt. In the end, he/she decided to buy our product just in time to achieve my monthly goals. 2. Sometimes we find ourselves having a bad day or dealing with someone who is not in the mood to talk. Tell me about a time when you realized that you did not have the rapport with a customer and what you did to correct that (Mazzei, 2016).
