Social Change 11-1 MWF office hours Show or movie that covers themes- can choose several movies or shows Social interactions in society- Wednesday- good for paper Concepts- tools to use to explain human behavior Socialization usually happens between parents and children- people interactin and socializating one on one, face to face - micro level Social institution like media – macro level Interactions and Social Structure Levels of Society - Social Interaction- meaningful on multiple levels - Micro-level o Interactions and encounters in our everyday lives. Things we experience all the time. o EX- Chatting with family- stop at starbucks and get a cup of coffee and interact with the barista- speak and listen to teacher, interacting with them o Interested in how people interact with each other- how they present their selves in society - Macro-level o Larger social institutions and systems o
