Is the increasing resistance of employers to unionization a new phenomenon or simply a return to the historic relationship that has existed between unions and management in the United States? is there an increase in management control against unions? The resistance of employers to unionization is not a new phenomenon. It is a return of the historic relationship that existed between unions and management in the United States. Employers do not like unions because they cost money, caused slower work processes, reduced productivity and employee relations (Reddy, 2017). They also limit flexibility, strikes can happen, most importantly limit job security (Reddy, 2017). There are many other reasons that employers do not like unions but those are a few. Resistance to unionization has been a long debate throughout the years. Some people agree with unions and others do not. Sometimes they can benefit an organization and other times they do not.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
