Factory farming is always contributing to greenhouse gases. Many people prefer the taste of beef to the taste of buffalo. Factory farms have often been accused of the inhumane treatment of animals. Legislative solutions to the problem of factory farms have not seemed to work. Because animals are in close quarters, there is often a buildup of waste matter which can result in a problem with dangerous bacteria in the meat. Vegetarians tend to have less health problems than meat eaters. Widespread vegetarianism will lower the demand for meat, which could put some factory farms out of business.
