Johnson 1 Payton Johnson Professor Fabri Site Review Final April 27, 2014 Harold Alfond Sports Arena Harold Alfond Sports Arena is a multi purpose ice arena located in Orono, Maine at the University of Maine at Orono. Built in 1977, completed February of that year. This building was dedicated to Mr. Harold Alfond. Prior to this year, 2013-2014, it was used for men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s hockey. Now it is just men’s and women’s hockey. The men’s and women’s basketball games are held at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. The capacity of the arena is 5,712 for previous basketball games but only holds 5,641 for ice hockey, with thirteen skyboxes. The arena, for men’s hockey games, generally bring in that amount of people, with the women’s games bringing in just around 4,000 people ("Harold Alfond Sports Arena.") There is one main entrance to the Alfond Arena from the parking lot, and two main exits. These main entrance/ exits, have four doors on the outside, then a lobby, then four more doors leading to the arena. The main entrance is where the ticket booth is, and after games it is used as a main exit. In between the two exits/ entrances is a merchandise store, completed with sweatshirts, t-shirts, pants, anything a fan of UMaine hockey and basketball would want. The crowd control is considered good for the ticket booth and entrances/ exits, the arena have distinct places where people need to be at the right times. First walking in, people can immediately see the ice. The first thing they see, other than the ice, are sections A-H, then press boxes above the sections, sections CCC-FFF. Surrounding the ice, are seats, the benches, and the penalty boxes. Hanging from the rafters are all the Universities that participate in

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
