Test-taking tips for BIMM 120: These tips are compiled from observations made about the midterm with regards to test preparation. There is a certain portion of underlined sentences within the slides that will be directly addressed on the text (nearly verbatim); there’s a reason why they are emphasized. This test will require that you have a conceptual understanding of the information. Understand the purpose of each slide; if you can sum up (in your own words) the significance of each slide in a single sentence then you will have a good grasp of all of the concepts you need to know. Study all pictoral diagrams that are labeled, and know the labels and elements that have been circled. - Even better, draw out crude diagrams of pictures that have multiple “moving parts”, or that are dynamically interrelated to each other. A good practice can be to make a fill-in-the-blank diagram to be filled in later for your understanding.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
