Project Quality Project Management Victor Gonzalez S40050088 Answer 1 Stakeholders can affect the project in a positive and negative way, all the stakeholders must be aware of the quality requirements to achieve the goal and outcomes. ±he project can be at risk oF failing to reach its objectives; this is why stakeholders must understand the quality requirements and work towards achieving these together. ±hey are also who have a major in²uence to determine quality objectives and standards. ±he quality objectives may be: - acceptable tolerances and variation to speci³caTons, Explicit and implicit performance expectations Client de³niTon on ‘³t For purpose ‘Explicit and assumed performance requirements Negotiated trade-off between cost, schedule and performance Organization, client or sponsor requirements. Quality objectives must align with quality standards de³ned by external authorities as Australian and international standards, industry codes of practice and others Answer 2 Quality metrics are crucial in project management. It is defined as the description of the attributes of the product or project. It also aims to measure the attributes defined by the project manager. The measurement generated in this particular project management tool is an actual value. It also sets a tolerance value that defines the allowable variations on the metric. For instance, if the objective stays within the budget by ± 20%, the quality metric is used to measure the cost of the deliverable to determine the percentage variance from the budget. The use of quality metrics in the control quality process and quality assurance. Examples of the quality metrics include cost control, on-time performance, failure rate and defect frequency Answer 3 There are a large number of stakeholders in a project, including the users, vendors, suppliers, project management team, etc. These people need to be identified early during the project initiation, and managed carefully. Any stakeholder communications analysis example will indicate the importance of stakeholders for the projects.
