Water is the essence of all living things. And water is currently being sold for profit. And we’re currently running out of water. 3% of water on earth is fresh water, but a lot of it is polluted beyond human use. Malaysia proposed the death penalty to those who pollute the water. The Mexico city river is so polluted that it is polluting the food. Ground water pumping could cause sinking and sinkholes. We’re pumping 15x more water than we’re putting back in to the ground. We’re quickly desertifying our earth by cutting down on permeable earth with urbanization, and deforestation. Dammed rivers cause rivers to fail to deliver nutrients downstream. Margaret thatcher privatized their waterways, and the WTO controls the corporations who control the waterways. Water from privatized waterways is more expensive. One example of issues is when Atlanta privatized their water and they fired the old city water workers and had issues even finding some of the pipes. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
