Morrison 1 Chapter 24: Assignment 4 Of course, the Ottoman, Safavid, and Mughal Empires all originated from Egypt, across the Middle East, Persia, and to India. The three empires controlled their surroundings with physical, ethnic, and religious movements. Each leader possessed Turkic backgrounds and Islamic roots. Over the extent of the empires they developed strong military forces. The empires were known as the Gunpowder Empires based on their success with firearms during their conquest. All three empires had a big focus on religion in which they used similar methods when handling religious matters. As a matter of fact, the Ottoman Empire was made of non Muslims in which they established their own leadership, legal and educational systems. The Safavid Empire united Perian speaking countries with the intentions of established one set religion, but often times had religion clashes.
