What are pros and cons of outsourcing and offshoring? Obvious pros of outsourcing your business are overall cost savings, time-zone factor, holiday scheduling, & focus on core business. Cost savings are improved due to the low prices of labor in countries such as China, India or Mexico. While you might be sleeping in the United States, somebody in a different time-zone that you outsourced would be awake and operating your business. In addition, many of the countries that you might outsource to might not recognize American holidays. This allows them to run your business on your days off. When organizations go outside their experienced area they can lose focus on their main focus. With outsourcing you could hire a specialist company to take care of those factors in your business. Cons of outsourcing your business include delays in product deliverability, lack of focus on your company’s project, public opinion, language barrier, & loss of sensitive data or confidentiality.
