3.06 Human Impacts on Environment Fossil Fuel: Coal Renewable Resource: Solar Power Describe this resource Coal is a fossil fuel that is a solid form of carbon. It takes a long period of time for it to be made. Therefore, it is NOT a renewable resource. Solar power transform energy that came from the sun and converts it into electrical energy. Advantages of this resource (include at least two) 1. Easy to distribute. 2. Not costly 1. No pollution. 2. Very low maintenance. Disadvantages of this resource (include at least two) 1. Harms Environment 2.Gives carbon dioxide 1. Expensive 2. Not usable in cloudy weather. How does collecting this resource effect the environment? It damages the environment when mining these fuels. Formerly, the machines placed solar power and carbon missions. How does using this resource effect the environment? Burning coal makes carbon missions like mercury, nitrogen oxide, or sulfur.
