1.05 Energy 1. Give 3 examples from the lab where potential energy was converted to kinetic energy. The red ball had potential energy. After the pendulum hit the red ball, then the energy was converted to kinetic. The five pound weight’s energy was potential. However, after the scissors cut it, the energy became kinetic. The bucket had the final energy that was potential. Finally, the books landed which transformed into kinetic energy. 2.Describe the adjustments you made to the device to keep the flow of energy going. I immediately knew that the board needed to tilted slightly in order for the ball to roll. Then, I strapped the weight to the shelf so the string can be cut by the scissors. After, I realized that the weight needed to fall in order for the ball to fly in the air so I slightly tilted the sea-saw. Following, I took the rubber-band and attached it to the item for the ball to drop to the books. Finally, I took the bucket and tied it with the string. This way, the book can land and the bucket will pull the string to the blinds.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
